Event
The 12th Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair, incorporating the seventh Malaysia International Agro-Bio Business Conference, was organised by Expomal International from July 13 to 15  at Putra World Trade Centre,  Kuala Lumpur. 
Objectives
To bring together industry players  from around the world to interact, transact and explore  opportunities. 
Measures
In its second decade, the fair sought to  address issues impacting the industry through agro-bio seminars with high-profile speakers.  For the first time, the exhibition was open to trade visitors only. 
Challenges
Major challenges were to find the best speakers and to market country pavilions. 
Results
The fair was a resounding success, with 19,303 visitors from 25 countries and regions, with 407 booths and 294 exhibitors. Some 888 business-matching sessions  led to 124,723 sales leads.
