SHA Tin College and Junior School recently held its annual funfair for the ninth time, a fund-raising tradition that also brings staff, parents and students together in a happy event.

'It is probably the most successful fair in Hong Kong!' said parent Graham Pickles, who was on the fair organising committee.

Principal David Cottam was even more confident: 'This is probably the best fair in the whole world!' Certainly, there was plenty of everything that goes to make a fair - games and entertainment, colour, variety and people. The entire school premises - from playground to classrooms - were filled with activity.

There were over 50 booths and counters, with goods ranging from clothes and handmade pottery to Christmas ornaments.

'We rented out the stalls at $800 each and profits at each stall go to those who rented the stalls,' Mr Pickles said.

'But we also donated 10 stalls to charity, like the World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong,' he added.
