MORE than 100 works of renowned Hong Kong painter Fang Zhaoling are on display at the Hong Kong Museum of Art.

  The exhibition is entitled The Passionate Realm - A Retrospective of Fang Zhaoling .

  Described by the London Observer as 'one of the greatest contemporary painters of our day', Fang is a prominent figure in Chinese ink painting.

  Her character, thinking, joys and sorrows are all reflected in her work.

  Fang was a student of various masters including Qian Songyan and Zhang Daiqian, and was inspired by them.

  Her works have been widely exhibited in the United States, Europe, China and Hong Kong.

  The exhibition is being held in the Special Exhibition Gallery of the museum from now till December 31.

  The museum is open six days a week, Friday through Wednesday. The opening hours on weekdays are from 10 am to 6 pm, and from 1 pm to 6 pm on Sundays and public holidays. The museum is closed on Thursdays.

  Admission is $10 and $5 for students and senior citizens.
