I AM concerned about the number of students who have developed a smoking habit.
I recently read a news report which revealed that about 40 per cent of students below form three had tried smoking.
This does not augur well for the future of Hong Kong and the health of young people.
Today's teenagers will be tomorrow's adults, the pillars of society.
They should think seriously about their lives and their long-term prospects when they light up a cigarette. They will have responsibilities as adults and they should look after themselves.
They should also consider the danger to property as fires are often caused by careless smokers.
