Rosemary Vandenbroucke made an understated return to the spotlight at the Swiss Auctions cocktail party at the Ritz-Carlton hotel. Since her misadventure last year in Nevada, where she was arrested for drug possession (though later fined only for obstructing police) and pleaded no contest to careless driving for hitting a sign, the model has avoided the entertainment news circuit. She has a better reason for flying under the radar in Hong Kong: she has been filming a show in Singapore called The Kitchen Musical.

It chronicles the adventures of a fresh graduate of Le Cordon Bleu who returns to work in her father's restaurant. Vandenbroucke plays a sommelier at the restaurant and the romantic rival to the main character.

'It's been non-stop dance rehearsals, script reading, filming; and now I'm travelling to promote the show,' Vandenbroucke said at the party on Monday. 'I think the musical-drama format is such a great platform for showcasing singing, dancing and acting at the same time.'
