Simplistic Duplexity (CD) Justin Robinett & Michael Henry

Judging by YouTube comments on this duo, you either love 'em or hate 'em. Common comments range from 'Marry me!' to 'This is obviously auto-tuned'. I find it hard not to love these two creative young musicians.

Justin Robinett and Michael Henry are genuine YouTube stars known for their pitch-perfect harmonies. They spice up their piano-playing covers with comedic relief, and their videos have become viral hits.

On their album Simplistic Duplexity, all tracks are standouts. My favourite is Two Is Better Than One. The duo's version is just so much sweeter than the original by Boys Like Girls. It certainly helps that Robinett and Henry are both talented pianists.

Their mash-up cover of Airplanes/Brick by Boring Brick has garnered more than 2.2 million views. The duo's total upload views run to more than 18 million.

Unlike many other YouTube musicians, the two offer unique interpretations of the songs they cover, turning loud rock songs into romantic ballads. Refreshingly, they don't take themselves too seriously. Their videos feature friends - and dogs - who entertain viewers with their offbeat antics.
