Almond Lee celebrated his 47th birthday with a win, but it was punters who collected the cash when Namjong Hunter scored in a Class Four (1,400m). Namjong Hunter, now a winner of four from 37, was sensationally backed from 33-1 to 10-1in the final minutes. Despite a last-start win, Lee said he hadn't shared the some faith as those who produced the plunge and said much credit should go to Keith Leung Ming-lun for a 'smart and patient ride'. 'It was someone really smart who bet on him,' Lee laughed. 'I couldn't be very confident against this field, last time he drew one in Class Five and got all of the advantage. This time we drew nine and this horse is not a good horse, not very strong.'
