THE police have installed a speed trap on Lam Kam Road, in the New Territories.
The road was widened and improved and even though this improvement was completed about a year ago, there is still no visible sign showing drivers what the speed limit is.
The last time I was driving along this road, the police had set up their speed camera in a partially concealed area near a sharp bend.
As soon as the driver in front of me saw it, he suddenly decelerated and the cars behind had to do likewise. There could easily have been a collision.
I hope that in future, officers will choose a safer area when setting up their speed camera.
I would also like the Government to check whether or not it has put up maximum speed signs on Lam Kam Road. This is a matter which should be looked into by the relevant department.
