The Delinquent Teenager Who Was Mistaken for the World's Top Climate Expert by Donna Laframboise Ivy Avenue Press (e-book) Climate-change believers won't necessarily have their views altered by Donna Laframboise's book, but many will start questioning the worth of reports informally known as the Climate Bible, published by the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In The Delinquent Teenager Who Was Mistaken for the World's Top Climate Expert, the Canadian investigative journalist chronicles the reasons we should not believe that the body's reports abide by rigorous rules. She points out that experts are not writing the IPCC reports; rather 'lead authors have included 20-somethings who have yet to gain post-graduate degrees. Laframboise argues that many of the authors are activists bringing their own agendas to the table, there's a lack of transparency about selection procedures and reports do not rely solely on peer-reviewed source material. Laframboise can be commended for her research, although the book would have benefited from the views of those she dismisses.
