The daughter of a prominent Philippine politician suspected in the murder of her brother has fled the country on a Hong Kong-bound flight.
Ramona Revilla's departure was the latest twist since the murder last Friday of 23-year-old Ramgen Revilla, the son of former senator Ramon Revilla Snr - patriarch of the famous politics and showbiz clan. 
Ramgen was shot once and stabbed 15 times in his home. His girlfriend, actress Janelle Manahan, was shot but survived and is in hospital. 
Ramona Revilla, 22, a principal suspect in the murder, boarded a Cathay Pacific flight on Friday night, though it was not known if Hong Kong was her final destination or if she caught a connecting flight  elsewhere. She is married to a Turkish national.
Immigration authorities cleared her for boarding. An unidentified man wearing an airport terminal access card was seen escorting her.
Lawyer Dennis Manzanal told local ABS-CBN News online she was trying to escape the 'media, not from justice'.  
Billy Beltran, chief of police in the Manila suburb of Paranaque City, said that while she was listed among the seven suspects involved in the murder, she was still free to leave the country since 'there are no formal charges filed against her'. 
Asked if Hong Kong authorities had been alerted, Beltran said, 'the investigation is still on the level of the Paranaque police station', and added:  'We are not seeking the help of Hong Kong police.'
Ramona's brother Ramon Joseph, 18, is also among the suspects.  Senator Ramon 'Bong' Revilla, the victim's half-brother, said Ramona's flight was 'a sign of guilt that she has knowledge and direct participation in the commission of the crime.' 
 Ramona admitted during a television interview she had lied to police after the crime. She initially told the police she had been abducted by the gunmen, but said on Friday she drove away herself. She said she had lied because she was ashamed about leaving her brother and his girlfriend.
