A third day of searches by dozens of police officers at a landfill in Tuen Mun, where the refuse was taken, failed to find the child yesterday.

According to a police statement yesterday, another Indonesian woman, aged 32, has been charged in connection with the case. Both women will appear at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

It has been alleged that the mother gave birth at a house in Ying Lung Wai, Yuen Long, on November 16. With a friend - also a helper - she wrapped the baby in a towel before leaving her in a plastic bag at the rubbish collection point. Police said the search of the Nim Wan landfill would continue.
