Frustrated members of the Occupy movement seem to be escalating the intensity of their protests. A few weeks ago, one protest led to several people being injured, including an elderly woman. Such acts of violence can never be excused. How can these people not be embarrassed by their actions? The protesters claim to come from the '99 per cent' of society victimised by the super-rich. But these people do not represent mainstream America in any way. They don't even represent a political ideology or a direct protest against anything, but are just a mob that seems to be upset at the world. Members of the Occupy Wall Street movement have everyone confused about their purpose, but they're confused, too. The initiators of the original movement made sure they were as 'independent' as possible. The movement seemed at first to be directed at corrupt Wall Street bankers, but it has now exploded into an array of different complaints. Yes, it is true that changes are needed on Wall Street. But now, college students are upset about loans, people are unhappy there aren't any jobs (instead of looking for jobs, they are on the streets whining about it), and the list goes on. If you want change, get yourself organised and try to fix it. Everyone suffers hardships. Deal with them. Grow up and stop whining.
