Why did you buy an iPad for your six-year-old daughter?

She saw it in a shop and begged us to buy one. At first, my wife and I rejected her request, but we soon realised that an iPad could, in fact, help her with her studies on the one hand, and make our lives a bit easier, on the other hand. Then there's also the fact that she can have fun with it and enjoy herself.

Where did she come to know what an iPad was?

Through iPhone. I've let her use mine to watch videos such as Sesame Street since she was about two years old. Such devices engage kids and keep them quiet, preventing them from running around restaurants, shopping malls or even the living room. For this reason, an iPhone or iPad can be a very helpful tool for a parent.

What types of app does your daughter use?

Mostly educational apps, particularly dictionaries and e-books as she is a keen reader. She uses the iPad to access the internet as well.
