ROSS Millard (South China Morning Post , November 22) still misses the essential point about 'freedom'. Simply stated, his 'freedom' to swing his fist ends where my nose begins.

  Legislation that protects my nose does not abridge his freedom to express himself. That is what laws prohibiting libel, slander and incitement to racial hatred are all about.
