HP picks JOS to be PC dealer

HEWLETT-Packard Hong Kong has appointed Jardine Office Systems (JOS) as its PC dealer.

HP Hong Kong managing director Jack Lee said: '[JOS] is experiencing the fastest sales growth ever for our PC products and there is an immense need to expand our sales network and support services to meet customers' needs.

'JOS, with its renowned pre-and post-sales services in the computer, office automation and telecommunications industries, will certainly enable us to achieve this.' HP was ranked by the annual United States International Data Corp (IDC) report as the fastest growing PC vendor worldwide last year with a PC sales growth of more than 110 per cent.

This year, the company broke the record again and recorded a 220 per cent PC sales growth in Asia-Pacific. In Hong Kong, the PC sales growth was 180 per cent.

This year, HP Vectra PCs have been highly regarded by customers. The HP Vectra XU has been selected twice as the US PC Magazine Editor's Choice for offering the best performance and speed in its class.
