Thermal device is hot stuff

MITSUBISHI has just released a new thermal wax printer that uses plain paper at a cost lower than many existing printers of its kind.

The new G2700-10U colour printer can output to plain paper where most others require special coated papers that cost several times more than regular bond papers.

The printer delivers better quality colour than low-end inkjet printers, although at US$1,195, it is somewhat more expensive.

It prints faster than most inkjets, reaching a speed of one page per minute instead of the typical three minutes per page in colour inkjets.
