10 steps to a much lighter eco-impact
There seems to be endless discussion of Hong Kong's carbon emissions and use of plastic bags.
We need to stop speculating and just get on with lessening our environmental impact. I'd like to suggest 10 practical things Hong Kong's government and people can do to manage carbon emissions and recycle waste:

Allocate more funding for electric buses;
Replace light sources with light-emitting diodes. This is being done in most renovated offices, but could InvestHK help with guidelines for foreign companies?

Recycle the millions of PVC pockets and lanyards generated by the numerous trade fairs;
Use recycled polypropylene to make the millions of bags handed out to people attending the fairs;
