VIRGIN Atlantic is refitting its four Airbuses to allow for two Upper Class cabins seating 38 passengers, instead of the present 28, on its Hong Kong-London daily route.
Upper Class service is claimed to be comparable to First Class on other airlines, but with a Business Class fare.
With a growing number of Chinese-speaking passengers flying Virgin, especially in Upper Class, the airline has increased its Cantonese-speaking crew from three to six, and in addition to the existing Chinese-language movie, it has added Chinese subtitles to three of the eight movies available.
BUSINESS travellers cherish their free time on the road so much that they would even rather dine alone than with colleagues or clients. According to a survey by Novotel New York, 53 per cent chose that solitary path.
Other survey results: For their favourite pastime while travelling on business, men chose dinner. Businesswomen chose shopping over dinner, followed by exercise.
