His odds got out to a comparatively luxurious $3.70 late last night, even though he was the only rider with a full book of eight rides. There are no odds-on favourites among Whyte's hopes, but Nordic Star (race five) seems well-placed and is backed up by a group of solid place hopes. Olivier Doleuze and Gerald Mosse were equal second favourites at $4.25, with seven and six rides respectively.
