Italian cuisine is popular around the world. With most dishes made with a small number of ingredients and cooking methods that someone's grandmother would have used in a rural town in Tuscany, Italian food is easier to prepare at home than many other styles.
All classes run for three hours and focus on dishes such as pizza, lasagne, risotto, tomato and bechamel bolognaise sauce and tiramisu.
Participants will learn how to make pizza, focaccia and pasta dough, including a spinach-based version for vegetarians, and how to operate a pasta machine. Vegetarian tastes are catered for in the Pumpkin Master Class that includes recipes for pumpkin and mushroom risotto, pumpkin gnocchi and roasted pumpkin.
The Vegetarian Italian Cooking Class includes dishes such as stuffed tomatoes with ricotta cream, a typical Tuscan winter soup made with chickpeas and short pasta and a green tart.
Each class cost HK$500 for members and HK$560 for non-members.
