Hong Kong Island regional crime officers were informed by the Interpol Bureau on Tuesday afternoon that Sichuan police had recently arrested the 20-year-old second cousin of the victim, Eddie Wong Wan-hin.

Eddie was abducted by four men on September 26, as he was entering the Buddhist Wong Cheung Um Primary School in Eastern Hospital Road, So Kon Po.

His body was found on a hillside in Tai Mo Shan Country Park three days later.

Officers believe the boy was killed before his family had a chance to pay a $3 million ransom.
