Mainland students to tackle PolyU test

Up to 20,000 mainland students are expected to take part in this year's Secondary School Science and Mathematics Competition jointly run by Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Beijing Normal University's Gao Zhong Shu-Li-Hua Magazine.

Around 1,500 students from 130 Hong Kong schools took part when PolyU launched the competition for Form Five students of the New Senior Secondary curriculum last year.

This May's competition will be organised and promoted on the mainland by the magazine, with PolyU setting the question papers for both Hong Kong and mainland participants in physics, biology, chemistry and mathematics.
