DANCE fans can now look forward to a special New Year treat called Songs of the Autumn Water, choreographed by Aaron Wan. To be staged on December 31 and January 1, the dance explores life as a journey, uncovering the loftiness of man's bitter struggles with the heart and his aspirations. The dance opens with Other Shore , which depicts man's sailing through the stormy sea of life before he arrives at the other shore. This is followed by Floating Cups in a Meandering Stream , which pictures the smallness of human beings in the vast dimensions of space and time. The programme ends with the Passer-by . Hong Kong-born veteran choreographer Aaron Wan has been choreographing for 10 years. Tickets at $130, $80 ($65 and $40 for students and senior citizens respectively) are available at Urbtix outlets.
