THE Lai Sun Group has issued more information about its controversial directors' emoluments at the request of the stock exchange.
At Lai Sun Garment (International), emoluments raised were $51 million in the 12-month period to July 31, against $21 million in the previous 12-month period.
This was made up of $6.56 million from Lai Sun Garment, $43.74 million from Lai Sun Development Co and $698,000 from Crocodile Garments.
The big rise in contribution was from Lai Sun Development, up 153 per cent from $17.29 million.
At Lai Sun Development, directors' emoluments rose from $19.2 million to $47.6 million, up 148 per cent.
Lai Sun Development became a property vehicle after a reorganisation in 1987. Shareholders capital and profit attributable as at July 31, 1988, were respectively $2.24 billion and $307 million. At July 31, 1994, these were respectively $14.15 billion and $956 million.
