This week we test: hair serum

Hair needs moisturising almost as much as skin does. After washing, apply a serum suited to your hair type, and your locks will shine.

Lucido-L Hair Make Supplement Treatment Oil (Perm) (HK$59/ 50ml)

This light serum is ideal if you need only a little help in the gloss department - it sinks straight in and gives you shine. If your hair is coarse, though, it's a little too light.

Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid (HK$300/ 100ml)

Plant-based ingredients such as jojoba and lavender help smooth frayed tips and add a natural shine without weighing your hair down. Two pumps on damp hair, and one on dry hair, is just enough.
