Maitre d' bares naked ambition

IT'S decision time for thirtysomething Pino Piano, the zippy maitre d' at barrister Alan Hoo's culinary chambers, Va Bene.

It's not something he can rush for the course he chooses will determine his future well-being.

So the question he faces is this - should he or should he not fix himself up with a tattoo for Christmas? 'If I was in my teens or 20s there is no way I would have had a tattoo,' said Pino.

'But I am in my 30s so it doesn't matter too much.' But what form should it take? Keeping Posted suggested the flag of Italy spread across his chest.

But he prefers something more in keeping with Asia - like a dragon or a snake.

Explained he: 'It would be nice to bare my tattoo in front of the mirror every morning and admire it.' To each his own . . .
