Academic to stay in post

PROFESSOR Rosie Young Tse-tse, appointed for another year yesterday as chairman of the Education Commission, has deferred plans to emigrate to Australia until the middle of 1996.

She said her emigration was not related to 1997.

'Most of my family members are in Australia. I'll be retired [from Hong Kong University] by the middle of 1996, emigration will allow me to take a rest in a different environment,' Professor Young, 63, said.

She was due to land in Australia by the middle of next year.
