The final of Hong Kong's top student football tournament will be screened live on NOW TV.
All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Football Tournament, which kicked off last Sunday, will have its final match at Mong Kok Stadium at 9.30am on March 11. The Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA), in partnership with the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation (HKSSF), hopes the live broadcast will attract a wider audience.
'We believe the thrill of playing at Mong Kok Stadium in front of a big crowd and a large TV audience will be a massive incentive to the 24 [participating] teams,' said Gordon McKie, chief executive of the HKFA.
'Youngsters and their parents are a very important part of football's fan base. We wish to embrace their passion for the game.'
