Every great artist should have more than one curtain call - and Lady Gaga is no exception.
After many Hong Kong fans failed to get early tickets for her May 2 show at the AsiaWorld-Arena, it was announced yesterday the pop diva will stage an extra concert at the venue the following night.
Promoter Live Nation said the additional May 3 date on Grammy Award-winning Gaga's 'Born This Way Ball' world tour was due to 'overwhelming fan response'.
Angry fans complained after a reported 6,000 tickets for the May 2 concert went on 'priority' sale to American Express card holders at 10am on Thursday.
They were allowed to buy eight tickets per card over the phone, on the HK Ticketing website or at 29 ticketing outlets. But phone lines and internet connections at HK Ticketing went down and the outlet said at 1pm the tickets were sold out.
Those who managed to get them were either well-connected people who had paid an additional HK$205 service charge or had queued for hours overnight.
