TEENAGE model Jessica Lolita Ehrenburg, the Australian girl who sparked a massive police hunt when she was thought to have been kidnapped from Kai Tak airport in October, is being treated for tertiary syphilis.
Giulio Lucatelli, her 41-year-old Ethiopian lover, has been arrested by Western Australia police and appeared in court last Friday on several charges relating to sex with a minor.
Jessica, 14, and already one of Australia's top modelling stars, discovered she had contracted the disease shortly after her return from the territory.
She met Lucatelli while on holiday in Bali and had been planning to fly to Italy to be with him when Hong Kong police found her after a two-day search.
Soon after being reunited with her mother and manager, Donna, the pair returned to their home town of Byron Bay in New South Wales. But within weeks domestic problems forced Jessica to move to Perth to be with her father and stepmother. Lucatelli, who runs a business in Bali, followed.
But when Jessica's father, Robert, discovered the two were back together, he informed the police and Lucatelli was arrested by the West Australian Police Child Abuse Agency.
