Despite its convoluted model number, AOC's e1649Fwu is an amazingly simple device. While its 15.6-inch display area is obviously much bigger than the average photo frame, the e1649 is basically just as simple as one - maybe even simpler.
Take the e1649 out of the box and it's pretty obvious what you need to do with it.
There is a single USB port that you can connect a cable to; no power outlet port, no VGA slot. All you do is plug a cable into the USB port and connect the other end to a USB 2.0 port on your laptop or desktop computer.
The result is two displays connected to your computer.
There are some software configurations you need to do to get your computer to support dual screens, but after that, you get the benefit of a whole new display for your computer. You can either show the same screen as your computer or extend your computer's screen to the e1649, giving you twice the viewing area.
The benefits of having an extra 15 inches of real estate for your applications is obvious, especially if you are using one of the ultra-portable laptops with a smaller display.
