If you could have the ultimate dream wedding in Hong Kong, what would it include? 
The Presidential suite in a five-star hotel, the best Champagne and an A-list designer wedding gown? 
For  the select few couples with  unlimited means, the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong  and  the InterContinental Hong Kong have assembled million-dollar  packages.  
Since opening  in March last year, the Ritz-Carlton has become a wedding hot spot for couples with deep pockets.
 Lucia Shum, director of catering and events, says more than 10 couples spent HK$1 million  on their weddings last year.  
In December, the hotel launched its HK$10 million Dream Wedding Package with event designer Preston Bailey. 
 It includes two first-class tickets to meet Bailey in his New York studio, while staying for two nights at the Ritz-Carlton, Central Park; a bachelorette party at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong's Spa by ESPA; a 200-guest wedding banquet at Tin Lung Heen; and an after-party at OZONE. 
Also included  is a two-night stay in the Ritz-Carlton Suite Hong Kong and 24-hour use of a Rolls-Royce Phantom. When it's time  for the honeymoon, the newly-weds will spend  four nights  at the Royal Beach Villa at the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Phulay Bay  in Krabi, Thailand, which includes  24-hour butler service. 
Shum says: 'If anyone has read one of Preston Bailey's books, they will know why it's worth the money to create a one-of-a-kind wedding. He can change a warehouse into a dream wedding banquet.'
For couples with HK$1.8 million to spare, the InterContinental Hong Kong launched the Ultimate Luxury Wedding Experience earlier this month.  
'Some people don't have to worry about the menu price, they just order whatever is the most expensive,' says Stella Wong, senior director of events.   
By reserving a wedding banquet  with a minimum spend of HK$1.8 million on food and beverages, the couple receive  a two-night stay with a private celebration party (or ceremony) for 30 guests in the hotel's 4,500 square foot Terrace Suite overlooking Victoria Harbour; use of a Ferrari California, a hard-top convertible GT, for a photo shoot on or before the wedding day; and a  series of six LPG facial or body treatments for the bride at I-Spa InterContinental Hong Kong.
