Easter chocolate crispies nests

Easter

Equipment you will need

18 paper cupcake cases

Large saucepan

Weighing scales

Metal spoon

Wooden spoon

Ingredients you will need

225g milk chocolate

50g butter

3 tablespoons golden syrup

150g rice crispies or cornflakes

Coloured chocolate mini eggs to decorate

Method

1 Place the milk chocolate, butter and golden syrup in the saucepan.

2 Heat the pan over a low heat.

3 Stir the mixture all the time with the wooden spoon until the chocolate and butter have completely melted.

4 Remove the saucepan from the heat.

5 Carefully pour the rice crispies or cornflakes into the melted chocolate. Stir gently to completely cover the rice crispies or cornflakes in chocolate.

6 Spoon the chocolate-coated rice crispies or cornflakes into the paper cupcake cases.

7 Use the spoon to make a small dent on the top of each rice crispie cake to make a nest shape.

8 Leave the nests to cool so the chocolate sets, or you can put the nests in the fridge for 30 minutes.

9 Place some coloured chocolate mini eggs in the nests, and serve them with a smile.
