Simple. It was possible because it required only the cobbling of information already in the public domain, including tweets written by everyone from Mariah Carey to Lionel Richie and Salman Rushdie. Michael Essany did not have access to more information about Houston's final days than did any of the reporters who scrambled to cover her death on the eve of this year's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. As anyone who heard the news knows, Houston was behaving 'erratically': Essany describes her skipping around with her daughter and performing handstands by the pool at the Beverly Hilton, where she was staying. She also took calls from her cousin Dionne Warwick on the day she died and, half an hour before she was found lifeless in a bath, she 'reportedly' spoke to her mother, Cissy. How pathetic that Essany couldn't wait at least until the autopsy results. Now they're known, so there's absolutely no reason to buy this.
