TWENTY men armed with knives burst into a North Point restaurant yesterday and attacked five customers, killing two and injuring three. A worker at the Hon Po Restaurant on the first floor of the Continental Building in King's Road, said the victims had arrived at about 1.30 pm and sat at a table near the staircase. At about 5 pm, the gang arrived, surrounded them and attacked. 'When all five men fell to the floor, the armed gang fled,' he said. Two of the injured men carried a third man out of the restaurant before dropping him on the pavement and getting into a taxi which was stopped by police nearby. Sze Tak-to, 27, who suffered wounds to his head, neck, chest and legs, died before reaching hospital, while See Leung, 23, died about four hours after the attack. Sze Leung-kwan, 29, was in critical condition while Chong Ming-wai, 22, was in fair condition. A fifth man, surnamed Hung, 22, was slightly hurt.
