FORMER multiple champion trainer John Moore will not have a stable jockey for the remainder of this season or next, it emerged last night, writes Lawrence Wadey.

Moore sensationally sacked stable jockey Brian York on Tuesday and this was officially confirmed in front of the stewards prior to last night's Happy Valley equitrack meeting.

The pair of them appeared before Jockey Club stipendiary stewards last night after which chief stipe Bernard Hargreaves informed the assembled press that Moore will not be applying for a replacement rider either this season or next.

Had he applied, he would not have been given one for this season and it would have been decidedly unlikely whether he would have been granted one for next season either, such is the strength of official feeling following his split with yet another jockey.

Other jockeys not to have lasted longer than one season with Moore include Wayne Harris, Neil Williams, Darren Beadman and John Marshall.
