HERE'S a word of relief for people who don't know what to do with all that loose change jangling around in their pockets - the 'Race for Change' is underway.
Try organising a 'race' to collect spare coins from colleagues or classmates. All funds raised will go to Operation Santa Claus 1994.
The scheme was the brainchild of RTHK assistant producer, Matthew Scarff.
Students Amadella Wagner, Nicole Gibbs and Doran Blinderman of Hong Kong International School organised their school 'race' between November 30 and December 2 and raised $500 for the appeal.
For 15 minutes each day, they collected money from schoolmates and teachers.
'It was great fun all around. Everybody enjoyed it because they were giving money to a good cause,' Nicole said.
