Chew Soon Gek, head of strategy and economic research Asia-Pacific for private banking, Credit Suisse

Singapore-based Kum rejoins Credit Suisse and reports to Chew Soon Gek, Credit Suisse's head of strategy and economic research Asia-Pacific for private banking. Kum leads the Southeast Asia equity research unit covering the Asean markets. She has 18 years' experience in fund management, research and advisory in the Asia-Pacific and Australasia markets. She is a chartered financial analyst with a bachelor of business in financial analysis from Nanyang Technological University.

Timon Tam, managing director and head of investment consulting - North Asia, Bank Sarasin

Tam is an accomplished industry veteran, with 25 years in private banking. He has a proven track record in advising ultra-high net worth individuals across North and Southeast Asia. 'We are delighted to welcome [Tam] to the team. He has exceptional experience and expertise across the region, with a strong track record in China, further strengthening our investment consulting team,' says Enid Yip, chief executive officer, Asia. Tam joins Sarasin from China Construction Bank Private Banking, where he established an investment advisory and product platform, and provided training and advisory to mainland clients. Tam, who is a Hong Kong citizen and resident, gained a degree in economics from the University of Hong Kong in 1986.
