DESIGN students have a chance to display their talent and win big prizes - all they need do is get into a 'corporate' frame of mind and let their creativity take over. The Conqueror Corporate Identity Design Competition 1994/95, organised and sponsored by Wiggins Teaps (Hong Kong), aims at promoting standards and raising public interest in graphic art and design. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of using high quality paper to carry a high quality design in order to project the desired corporate image. Students of graphic design schools or those who have graduated this summer are invited to take part in the competition. All entries must be submitted on the Conqueror range of papers. Each entry should present a new corporate identity design, and comprise an A4 letterhead, a DL envelope, a name card and a compliments slip or greeting card. The awards will be graded gold, silver and bronze, with the winners receiving $7,000, $5,000 and $3,000 respectively. There will also be a colour award with a prize of $2,000. Other awards include a creativity award and four judges' awards, the winners of which will each receive art equipment or material valued at $1,000. In addition to the prizes, all winners will receive a certificate in recognition of their achievements. The deadline for entries is March 27, next year. For details, call 775-0196.
