Watermark restaurant at the Star Ferry pier in Central was transformed into a romantic garden for the launch of American fashion designer Anna Sui's latest fragrance, Fairy Dance.

A twist on the Secret Wish perfume she launched in 2005, the fruity-floral fragrance comes in a peachy glass bottle with a fairy sitting on the stopper.

The event, on Friday, started with a ribbon dance by two performers dressed as fairies, who then led Sui onto the stage.

'I'm so lucky with my work because I can use everything that I love, that I'm obsessed with, that I want to know more about,' she said, introducing the fragrance.

'Every summer I go to a festival in the south of England, in Cornwall, and there are beautiful gardens, sunshine and lots of friends. We immerse ourselves in a whole weekend of music, literature and performance - and they even have a flower show there. So I thought, why don't I share this wonderful time with everyone and try to capture the joy of friendship, sunshine and happiness.'

Guests watched a video showing the making of the advert for the scent, featuring Swedish model Frida Gustavsson as a fairy princess. After this, another fairy princess appeared and spritzed the guests with the new perfume.
