In “A Rose Reborn”, the cutting-edge project integrating fashion and film by Ermenegildo Zegna and renowned Korean director Park Chan-Wook, you are invited to travel and explore a new world with Stephen (by Jack Huston). And you will identify yourself with him as the new generation of leadership.
The story begins in a metropolitan city of ancient and old, London. Being one of the world’s leading financial centres, also the hub for arts, fashion and professional service; London brings together high tech talents and resourceful investors. The city developing into one of the biggest internet communities sets the background for Stephen to communicate with everyone digitally.
With a panoramic view of London, the first environmentally progressive complex of the city Gherkin stands out in the shot. This Landmark indeed not only denotes high end technology, it is chosen by the director for a deeper sense of rebirth. See if you can find the association?
From the Gherkin, we are brought into Stephen’s office. He appearing in a sloppy look is in a video conference call with the investors of his company. They are eagerly discussing about the project “egg” which has been well developed. However they are facing financial difficulties. The investors urge Stephen as the CEO and the project developer to solve the problem.
They tell him to meet a Mr Lu in person, who is a young president of a Chinese conglomerate named Qi Huan (啓寰 means the start of the universe), which is also an exploration to the promise of greater social consciousness. However, the task of meeting Mr Lu is not going to be a piece of cake. He is a unique person who likes to speak with riddles and not immediately revealing his true idea.
Taking the challenge, Stephen decides to see Mr Lu and gets ready to navigate out from his small world. Yet John, his teammate John reminds him to look at his own style - “You are not going to wear like this, are you?” Being enlightened, he reaches out to a new territory of opportunities. First starting from his wardrobe, he adopts a more elegant look to start his journey.
All set, Stephen is on his way. But is he going to be successful in meeting Mr Lu?
