A chic secluded pub
First-timers to Missy Ho, which is located at 48 Forbes Street in Kennedy Town, should allow a few extra minutes for searching because the place is not easy to find. To get there, it is necessary to pick your way through a number of narrow alleys, but once you have arrived and settled in, you will feel the effort in seeking out this chic, trendily decorated pub is more than worthwhile.

The cocktails on offer are out of the ordinary, with many of them not easily found elsewhere, and the hidden away location adds to the special feeling akin to being a member of a secret club.
The owners of the venue were insightful enough to add to the already distinctive ambience by decorating the interior with bird cages, iron chains and rough walls, blending various elements of East and West.
Under dimmed lighting, giving the effect of candlelight, customers feel almost compelled to lower their voices and draw closer to talk to each other in private, thus creating an environment perfect for a pub with a difference.
While dishes served at most other pubs are of so-so quality, those at Missy Ho are an exception to the rule. The popular beef skewers and pork dumplings are prepared with carefully chosen ingredients and the bite-sized hamburger ordered by my friend was a mouthful of pure taste and flavour.
