James Schwemlein
James Schwemlein is a non-resident scholar in the South Asia Programme at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a consultant working for the World Bank. He is a former US diplomat experienced in South Asia and US foreign economic policy. From 2011 to 2017, he served as senior adviser to the US special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
