People spend one-third of their lives sleeping, so it is only fitting that they enjoy this significant amount of time slumbering in the best mattresses that money could buy. Understanding the impact of a comfortable bed in providing quality sleep, Duta Abadi Primantara (DAP) is dedicated to producing premium mattresses and bedding products that meet the demands of a wide range of consumers.

“The key to our success is our commitment to quality by using premium materials and observing strict quality control,” says Anthony Setiawan, president and director.

A pioneering leader in mattress manufacturing in Southeast Asia, DAP invests substantially in research and development (R&D), which helped it gain the trust of five-star hotels such as Four Seasons, Shangri-La and The Ritz-Carlton. Not only are DAP’s products tested at its R&D laboratory, they are also inspected by third-party testers. DAP also takes pride in its speedy network of more than 1,400 dealers, assuring its reach across the archipelago.

DAP debuted in 1990 with Florence, which remains a leading local brand. The company later became the licensee for King Koil and made it the first international brand to enter the Indonesian market. DAP has since added Serta, Tempur, Aireloom and Simply brands to its product offerings.

Aimed for the mass segment, Florence is manufactured by DAP with locally sourced components. The company also assembles premium label brands King Koil and Serta using 80 per cent imported materials. It also imports the ultra-premium Aireloom brand from the United States and Tempur brand from Denmark for regional distribution.

DAP intends to explore other product categories such as furniture, and welcomes partnerships with international brands to expand collaboratively. Already enjoying a strong presence in Singapore and Malaysia, DAP will soon venture into Vietnam and the Philippines through representative offices and factories.

“It’s our goal to manufacture and distribute the best mattresses in the market,” Setiawan says. “We always put our customers’ comfort on top of everything.”
