BYD, China’s largest new-energy vehicle (NEV) maker by sales, said production at its factory in Xian has returned to normal following three weeks of disruption because of lockdown measures following an outbreak of Covid-19.

“Operation at the factory in Xian has basically become normal,” the Shenzhen-based carmaker said on Friday. “Production volume was dented by the lockdown to a certain extent.”

The carmaker did not elaborate on the impact of the lockdown on its delivery and sales.
