Sinopec Engineering wins US$1.33b contract from Petronas

Sinopec Engineering has been awarded a US$1.33 billion contract to build an oil refining and petrochemical project in Pengerang, Johor state, Malaysia.

Sinopec Engineering has been awarded a US$1.33 billion contract to build an oil refining and petrochemical project in Pengerang, Johor state, Malaysia, the Hong Kong-listed firm announced on Thursday morning.

The contract was awarded by PRPC Refinery and Cracker, a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional, the Malaysian state-owned oil giant better known as Petronas.

The Chinese and Malaysian state-owned firms are finalising and executing this contract, Sinopec Engineering said.
