China’s ZTE gets US sanctions relief till March 29
Fresh reprieve allows US firms to continue supplies to Chinese telecom equipment maker
Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE Corp has been granted a fresh reprieve from export restrictions imposed on it by the US government.
In an online posting on Thursday, the US Commerce Department said it has extended ZTE’s temporary export license until March 29.
The extension allows US companies to continue to supply the Chinese company with components as it seeks to resolve a US government probe of alleged violations of US sanctions on Iran.
