The US economic expansion and the quantitative-easing-assisted recovery in the euro zone should bode well for the export-oriented equity markets of Japan and Taiwan, analysts at Credit Suisse posit in their latest note. Consensus earnings revisions of Taiwan and Japan lead their Asian peers, pretty impressive given that MSCI Asia ex-Japan constituent stocks have already outperformed their MSCI World Index cousins in consensus earnings-per-share revisions in six of the past seven months, with January's figure the best since 2009. The strong earnings performance of iPhone suppliers in Taiwan gives the island's plays top ranking for February on a combination of strong cash-flow revisions and attractive valuations.
