Ferran Adria to be guest chef at Hong Kong's Amber in October

Molecular gastronomy pioneer who led El Bulli in Spain will collaborate on 12-course dinner - to be served for two nights only

Richard Ekkebus

Ferran Adria, pioneer of molecular gastronomy and arguably one of the most influential chefs in the world, is collaborating with top Hong Kong chef Richard Ekkebus of Amber at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Centrla for dinners on October 23 and 24. Adria ran El Bulli in Roses, Spain, until it closed in 2011.

You'll need deep pockets to attend this event - the 12-course dinner with a Dom Perignon champagne reception is HK$10,888 plus 10 per cent. The event also includes a signed copy of the seven-volume set, elBulli 2005-2011 (fortunately, you don't have to carry it home - it will be delivered to you), and a photo-op with Adria.

Amber is 38 on the World's 50 Best restaurants list for 2015, and has two Michelin stars.
