They say diamonds are a girl's best friend. That certainly explained the wave of female fans at Forevermark Promise Exhibition held last Tuesday at the Bethanie Landmark Heritage Campus of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

The one-night-only exhibition showcased a collection of about 10 sets of diamond jewellery. Forevermark collaborated with a string of creative minds, including jewellery designers Stephen Webster and Shaun Leane, and actress, star of Lust, Caution Tang Wei, as well as award-winning artistic director Yip Kam-tim. Over 400 carats of diamonds were used on the pieces, created under the theme "promise".

Although she had never designed jewellery before, Tang, with the help of Forevermark's professional team, made "rainbow of promise", a colourful pendant featuring multiple diamond-studded hoops representing different promises to herself and her family and friends. Webster interpreted the theme and made a diamond snake ring and a 23-carat dragon brooch; while celebrity make-up artist Gary Chung painted a temporary tattoo of Webster's dragon design on to the back of model Mikki Yao.
